Prof. Taib CHKILI :
The reform vision of the national education system, elaborated by Higher Council for Education, Training and Scientific Research, and adopted by the public authorities for the period 2015 - 2030, has dedicated the second Lever of the vision to the obligation and generalization of preschool as one of the fundamental bases of the reform.
Actually, many laudable initiatives have been undertaken by several active actors in this field to improve access to quality preschool education for large numbers of Moroccan children, but it is important to recognise that we only just begin to initiate this process and we still have a long way to go.
In this way and through a selection of major achievements of the Moroccan Foundation for the Promotion of preSchool Education for the period 2014-2016, we reaffirm our will and the incontestable commitment of our team to contribute actively in the Moroccan state's effort to make the generalization of access to a quality preschool system, across all regions, provinces and municipalities of Morocco, a reality.
We are pleased with the results achieved during this period. Despite the difficult conjecture and thanks to the precious trust of our partners and the continuity of the efforts of the educational and administrative staff, we were able to continue the expansion of our network through the opening of new quality structures considered by many educational actors as models for the national preschool.
Thus, between 2014 and 2016, the network of FMPS classes grew by 41%, our reception capacity reached +6000 pedagogical places, we are present in 10 regions, in 25 provinces, we have trained +530 educators, we have strengthened our field expertise, we have consolidated and diversified our partnerships, we have strengthened our human capital, we have anchored our pedagogical innovation in our daily practices, we have streamlined our working procedures, we have confirmed our quality standard, ... these are all assets and achievements that make the FMPS, the national reference actor in the field of preschool.
For the coming years, we have put in place an ambitious strategic action plan that focuses on strengthening the capacity of the FMPS, achieving high performance standards, accelerating the expansion of our network and sustaining our action.
We are convinced that if building a quality preschool system is an excellent result, making it sustainable is even better!
