Message from the President
It is with great pride that I welcome you to the new website of the Moroccan Foundation for Preschool Education (FMPS), a showcase of our unwavering commitment to serving early childhood education in Morocco.
Since its creation in 2008, FMPS has worked to guarantee equitable access to quality preschool education to every child aged four to six. A non-profit association recognized as a public utility, FMPS fulfills a public service mission on behalf of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports. FMPS has rolled out a pedagogical model of high standard in its classes throughout the national territory, including its most remote areas, a model accessible to children from all socioeconomic backgrounds.
Convinced that education is the foundation of human development and social progress, we place the child at the heart of our mission, and the educator at the center of our action.
Our ambition is clear: to enable every Moroccan child to fully realize their potential and to cultivate a new generation that is curious, confident, and ready to face the challenges of tomorrow.
Thanks to the dedication of our teams, the trust of our families, and the support of our institutional partners, FMPS currently manages 70% of free public preschools in Morocco across all regions of the Kingdom. The Foundation supervises a nationwide network of 24,382 classes that reaches more than 380,000 children in both urban and rural areas.
In practice, this means that we are :
– Committed to operational excellence built around three fundamental pillars: comprehensive training for our educators, rigorous monitoring and evaluation systems, and tailored pedagogical supervision ;
– Able to innovate and enrich the educational experience of children, driven by our research center, FabLab, and our Project Bank ;
– Dedicated to fostering local employment opportunities – especially for youth and women.: Among our 24,517 educators, 82% are women. By recruiting and training high school graduates close to their homes, FMPS offers the young people of Morocco a valuable path for personal and professional growth. This is especially important in rural and remote areas where investments in inclusive human capital development matter the most.
Our new website aims to strengthen transparency, communication, and collaboration with our partners, families, and all citizens.
Message from the Director General
The year 2024 marked a decisive milestone for Moroccan Fondation for PreSchool, characterized not only by the significant expansion of our network and the strengthening of strategic partnerships, but also by an ambitious drive to optimize our operational practices and consolidate our teams.
Thanks to the unwavering commitment of our 23,105 staff members, the FMPS integrated more than 3,500 new preschool classes, bringing our network to 21,911 classes across the Kingdom. This expansion is supported by the daily dedication of 21,984 educators, backed by a structured network of supervisors and educational advisors whose role is essential to the success of our mission. Their work in the field embodies our ambition: to offer every child in Morocco a quality, equitable, and accessible preschool education.
Training is one of the pillars of our development strategy and a key lever for the performance of our human resources. During the 2023-2024 school year, more than 7,700 participants completed a rigorous initial training program, ensuring they are well prepared for their mission, while 8,200 educators received an additional 550 hours of initial training.
an initial training of 400 hours, while more than 7,700 new recruits… At the same time, the FMPS strengthened its system for assessing the skills acquired by children, following a continuous improvement approach. Indeed, this process is essential to measure the impact of our educational approaches.
Guided by operational excellence, the FMPS continued its deep transformation in 2024 through enhanced digitalization of human resources, finance, and operations management. This modernization aims to increase transparency, improve efficiency, and ensure higher quality in managing our projects; it enables us to align with the most demanding international standards.
These advances could not have come to fruition without the exemplary mobilization of our teams and the constant support of our partners. Together, we continue our commitment to develop high-impact initiatives, meet future challenges, and build a better future for every child by ensuring the conditions necessary for the full development of their potential.
I therefore extend my sincere thanks to all those who, every day, contribute to this shared mission: the Foundation’s staff, our institutional and private partners, as well as our generous donors.
Driven by the same determination and fueled by a passion for public service, we face the future with confidence, optimism, and ambition.
